Developer Update - October 4th 2025

Hello Navigators! This month has been filled with progress toward delivering new planet types designed by our community Planetologists, some bug fixes, and of course the long awaited multiple galaxy support!

Closed Beta Access

As always, I want to make sure that every build going to the live branch is of the highest quality to ensure that navigators like you, have the best experience possible during early access. That being said, the latest major update of Stellar Navigator will become available first within the closed beta within the next couple days.

While some people enjoy living on the furthest fringes of space, exploring the unknown, others like to stay a little closer to home in more charted space - which is quite all right. Therefore, you may opt into this beta by signing up here: https://www.stellar-navigator.com/beta-sign-up

This will give you access to the latest builds (which often come out more frequently during a testing phase such as this), a separate section in our discord to submit bug reports, and provide early feedback on upcoming features.

(Small) Galaxy Update

The galaxy map now identifies which galaxy you are exploring so you can keep track of where you go.

Galaxy Selector

Last month's update I showed the initial set up of the galaxy selector, but now you can see there has been more added. The ability to Import and Export galaxies! With this latest update, Navigators will be able to share galaxies with their fellow navigators. This is a big step towards Steam Workshop support that is coming in a later update. Nevertheless, start you scanners, create your galaxies, and share what you have discovered with your friends!
