Hello Navigators!
It's been a minute since the last update and how time flies! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer or I suppose winter for others. Well in either case this month's report has a few exciting things to share. Firstly, thank you to those who came to see Stellar Navigator at Game Con Canada this year, it was nice to meet new people as well as some familiar faces!
Major Update 2 - Closed Beta
The next major update is right around the corner, bringing with it Steam Workshop support, multiple asteroid belts with some extra treats, and custom trade lanes on the galaxy map. Let's take a closer look.
Steam Workshop Support
With Major Update 2, the initial implementation of Workshop support will become available. This will allow for the uploading of galaxies to the Workshop and the downloading of other galaxies from the Workshop as well. Once subscribed to a galaxy, there will be a new way to create a galaxy from the galaxy selector. Yeesh, that's a lot of galaxies. In the new window, all subscribed galaxies will be available to copy as a new galaxy, which you may then update as you like.
Future of Steam Workshop
As development continues and time opens up to enhance the feature, there will be ways of sharing individual star systems and perhaps other aspects of your creation.

Multiple Asteroid Belts
You asked for it, and here it is!
When MU2 goes out, star systems will be getting an increase to their mass. With the ability to create multiple asteroid belts, you will be able to individually set their position, size, asteroid scale, and colours, as well as import your own 3x3 sprite sheets to replace the default asteroid images!

That's right. If you want to decorate your star system like a tacky Hallmark holiday tree - you go right ahead.
Zero judgment here. All that matters is that you're having fun.
Trade Lanes (Constellations)
As has been mentioned in previous editions of the developer update, trade lanes are coming in MU2 as well. Over this last month, this has seen quite the overhaul. There is still some polish left to go, but now it's fully integrated into the GUI through the Galaxy Legend. Not only that, but with this new integration, additional options have been made available to style the trade lanes. There are 4 different styles that can be selected in MU2:
Solid line
Dashed line
Dotted Line
Directional Line
And of course, colours are an option with these as well!

Well everyone, that's a quick update on what has been happening over the last month since Game Con. Again, thank you to all who came out and supported Stellar Navigator by visiting the booth, saying hi, and telling your friends about it!
Now begins the final touches before the closed beta of MU2. Remember, you can sign up for the closed beta if you're interested in venturing out into the unknown and experiencing what could be an unforgettable journey, or a crash...
Until next month, keep looking to the stars!
